We are excited to announce a new partnership with Blackbird Mountain Guides. Blackbird was founded by Zeb Blais who is a local IFMGA Mountain Guide living in greater North Tahoe. The company is built on a strong foundation of experienced guides and seasoned avalanche instructors. Trips and courses are available in Tahoe National Forest, Humbolt-Toiyabe National Forest, Inyo National Forest, Mt. Shasta, Lassen National Park, Mt. Baker, Mt. Ranier, and over seven international locations.

Mid Season Update

It's been an awesome season so far and Blackbird Mountain Guides have been hard at work ski guiding from Tahoe to British Columbia this winter! Our Frog Lake Backcountry ski trips have been firing in Truckee, with awesome snow and great terrain along and avalanche education in Tahoe and Washington has been busy. We guided Vinson Massif, the highest peak in Antarctica (16,050') and we're wrapping up two stellar weeks of ski touring at Icefall Lodge in BC. Mount Shasta is going to be awesome this season and signups are coming in, so drop us a line to reserve a spot to ski Mt Shasta or climb it!
