This summer, Packing It Out aims to leave the Pacific Crest Trail better than they found it, just like they did last year, when they removed 1,090 lbs. of trash off of the AT. Two of the original members, Seth ‘Cap’ Orme and Paul ‘Spice’ Twedt began their journey on the 2,650-mile trail from Mexico to Canada at the start of May. Their late-season hike has enabled them to clean up trash that previous hikers have left behind. The team has already hit half of their original goal, 1,000 lbs. If they continue at the rate of a pound a mile, they’re on track to pick up 2,500 lbs of trash.

Meet the guys at the shop on Tuesday, July 12th at 6:30! Enjoy pizza and beer with PIO founder, Seth Orme and Paul Twedt. They will share the impact they’ve made on two of our country’s biggest trails and how to be an advocate for clean trails.
