Hub Ride Guide - Part 3

Part 3 of the Hub Ride Guide highlights a section of the Tahoe Rim Trail (Flinstone’s) to Scott Peak. This ride is a 14.7 mile out and back with 2,459ft of climbing and descending.

The easiest parking is the 64 Acres Tahoe Rim Trial Trailhead in Tahoe City. This scenic ride is great for riders of all skill levels, but keep in mind that due to the length and amount of climbing a decent level of fitness will make it much more enjoyable. This ride starts out gradual and parallels Page Meadows, connecting to Deer Park which which climbs up to the Scott Peak Trail.

This ride will is full of a good variety of North Tahoe terrain, from fast smooth singletrack, to shale that sounds you are riding on glass, and a few sections of chunky technical rocks to navigate. The view of Alpine Meadows and the long descent will make this one well worth the effort!
