Running the River

One of the best ways to beat the heat in the summer is to get out on the water. Luckily if you are in Truckee or North Tahoe we have the Truckee river running right through town! Sections of the river will vary from a lazy river float between Tahoe City and River Ranch, up to class III+ whitewater between Boca and Floriston.

Don’t have a way to hit the river? We have all your bases covered at the Tahoe Sports Hub. We are a Rocky Mountain Rafts (RMR) dealer and carry all the best options for hitting the river in our area. Pick up a 12ft raft to fit the whole family in or a 9.5’ option which is perfect for a smaller group and ideal in lower flows. Looking for something a bit more sporty? A single or tandem inflatable kayak might up the fun factor in just the right way. We also stock extremely durable river tubes from RMR which are perfect for more mellow sections when you are looking to just kick back and relax.

We also RENT all of the above options for anyone that is just looking to get our for a couple days a summer. Rental rates are as follows; river tube $25, inflatable kayak $65-$75, rafts $120. Rent for as many days as you would like, this is also the perfect option to “test the waters”!
